The 2014 Theatre Festival Staff
BETHANY BEAMAN (Managing Director) has managed the Playhouse since January 2014. While she may seem like a "rookie", she is anything but one. She and her husband have been involved with theatre for nearly 20 years. She would like to thank everyone who helps keep the Playhouse alive and well—the community support is what keeps this Grand Old Lady shining!
JASON BERTOIA (Property Master) returns to the Howmet Playhouse as property master and set dresser this season. Jason has been the Musical Theatre Program Director at Western Michigan Christian for the past five years directing Curtains, Carousel, Bye Bye Birdie, Anything Goes, and Seussical. Jason was the Assistant Director for the private production Full Mouse, Empty Mouse: The Musical in partnership with The Lakeshore Eating Disorders Coalition and has also been involved in Muskegon Civic Theatre starring as Edna Turnblad in Hairspray, and most recently as Charlie Cowell in The Music Man. His properties credits include: Side by Side by Sondheim, Something’s Afoot, Doubt, Dial 'M' for Murder (Muskegon Civic Theatre) and last season's productions at The Howmet Playhouse . When not spending time in theaters he works as a Community Health Worker for the Michigan Pathways to Better Health Project - Every Woman's Place.
CINDY BETH DAVIS-DYKEMA (Youth Theatre Intructor) returns again to the Playhouse to direct the WLYT program for the summer festival, East of the Sun, West of the Moon.
NIKKI FOSTER (Costume Designer) has designed for many shows including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The 39 Steps, Bye Bye Birdie, and Annie. She worked as the assistant for many productions at Muskegon Community College including The Laramie Project, The Pillowman, Into the Woods, The Importance of Being Ernest, and It’s a Wonderful Life. This fall she will be leaving to attend DePaul University to obtain her BFA in Costume Design. She would like to thank Beth Beaman for the opportunity to work this season and everyone who has helped her get where she is today.
COLETTE KUFAHL (Graphic Designer), owner of CMYK Grafix Design and an Associate with Rafaill & Associates, LLC, is an experienced graphic designer whose objective is to convey her clients’ unique places in our lives and in our community by developing designs for print and online marketing. Her skills continue to be put to good use for the Playhouse as she designs a variety of items including the summer programs, flyers, posters, and many of the graphic elements used on the Howmet Playhouse website. Colette embraces the opportunity to help preserve and promote our communities' fine arts and the Historic Howmet Playhouse.
MAT MOORE (Set Designer) joins the Howmet Playhouse for the Summer Festsival and will be designing the sets for East of the Sun, West of the Moone, The Mousetrap, Leading Ladies, and Hospitality Suite.
LORRELL PEPPLE (Production Manager) is a 2005 graduate of Shelby High School. She majored in Theater at Muskegon Community College. She has had the great privilege to work with several local theater companies, including the Howmet Playhouse, Muskegon Civic Theater, MCT Tours, and Central Park Players. This is her first year as Production Manager for the Howmet's summer season, and, while nervous, she couldn't be more excited! Lorrell would like to thank Katie for this amazing opportunity, her mother, Sharon, for her constant love and support, and JaiLynn for always keeping her ego in check.

WILLIAM S. RAFAILL (Webmaster) has been the webmaster for the Howmet Playhouse since the spring of 2007. He and his wife, Barbara, have a cottage in Stony Lake and have been enjoying the western shore of Michigan and all that it offers, including the Playhouse, since the mid 1980s. Bill is CEO, CFO, COO, and all those other "O's" for his own company, Rafaill & Associates, LLC. He specializes in website development, graphic design, and technology training. He is pleased to do all that he can to promote the Grand Old Lady, the Howmet Playhouse.

AIDAN SMITH (Assistant Production Manager) has been involved in the WLYT for many years having served as the Student Director for last summer's production of The Fearsome Pirate Frank.
HANNAH UITHOVEN (Box Office Manager, Production Assistant) joins the Summer Festival staff after having been part of the WLYT for many years.
