The 2015 Theatre Festival Staff
BETHANY BEAMAN (Managing Director) could not be happier with all of the community support for the Howmet Playhouse. Her experience working as the Administrator of Theatre Arts Education at Muskegon Civic Theatre as well as being the Assistant Director/Stage Manager, costumer, and set dresser for several productions helped prepare her for the excitement of working with directors, actors, and technical crew. Beth is pleased to be the Managing Director with all of the community and volunteer support the Playhouse receives. She wants to thank her wonderful family for all of their help and support.
CLAIRE BEAMAN (Production Assistant) has spent most of her childhood in the theatre both acting and behind the scenes. She was most recently the Voice of the plant in Little Shop of Horrors and the fairy godmother in Cinderella. A 2015 Whitehall High School graduate, Claire is excited to join the Playhouse staff this year as a Production Assistant. She is planning to attend Muskegon Community College in the fall and considers the Playhouse her second home.
LINDSEY HUIZENGA (Production Manager) is spending her summer internship working as the Production Manager at the Playhouse. A Calvin College student, Lindsey has stage managed several productions while earning her degree in Theatre. She also co-wrote, performed in and toured an ethnographic show about refugees. She is happy to be spending her summer at the Playhouse!
LuANN HULCE (Costumes) has a wealth of experience working in the theater as a director, producer, and costumer. Her credits include Peter Pan, Footloose, Willy Wonka, Wizard of Oz, and Once Upon a Mattress. She says her specialty is taking recycled clothing and transforming it into anything from mermaids to monsters, hippies to Southern belles and gentleman, or 1950s teens to medieval kings and queens. She recently retired from teaching at Montague High School and we are pleased to have her join us this season as our costumer!
THOMAS KLONOWSKI (Technical Director and Lighting Designer) has extensive experience in technical theatre and is thrilled to be back in Michigan for the summer. As the Head Carpenter for the touring shows of Nice Work and American Idiot, he strives to learn all aspects of a production. He was the Technical Director for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and works for Technical Theatre Solutions, LLC where he was an Electrician/Carpenter for Disney Cruise Lines. The Playhouse is pleased to welcome him!
LORRELL PEPPLE (Props and Set Dressing) is a 2005 graduate of Shelby High School. She majored in Theater at Muskegon Community College. She has had the great privilege to work with several local theater companies, including the Howmet Playhouse, Muskegon Civic Theater, MCT Tours, and Central Park Players. Previously the Production Manager, this summer season she is providing props and set dressings.

WILLIAM S. RAFAILL (Webmaster) is the owner of Rafaill & Associates, LLC, a company that specializes in website development, graphic design, and technology training. He has been serving as the webmaster for the Howmet Playhouse since the spring of 2007 and is pleased to do all that he can to promote the Grand Old Lady, the Howmet Playhouse. He and his wife, Barbara, have a cottage in Stony Lake and have been enjoying the western shore of Michigan and all that it offers, including the Playhouse, since the mid 1980s.

JESSICA REILLY (Set Designer and Build Supervisor) is an experienced theatre professional who has worked on the national tours for Nice Work if You Can Get It and American Idiot, the Musical. Her carpentry skills and backstage experience have led to many positions with the Spoleto Festival USA, the Charleston Ballet Company, and Disney Fantasy Cruise Lines. She is pleased to be working at the Playhouse and spending the summer along the lakeshore.
AIDAN SMITH (Production Assistant) is a familiar face both on and off the Howmet Stage. He most recently appeared in Cinderella and Not a Baby Anymore. Aidan is returning to the staff this year as a Production Assistant. Aidan is a 2015 graduate of Montague High School and will be attending Muskegon Community College in the fall. He has appeared in Just Before Sleep, Willy Wonka, Alice In Wonderland and played Jesus in Godspell . Aidan has taken many acting workshops and loves all styles of performance.
