Return to the 2023 Summer Festival Schedule

 

Justin Sternburgh Justin Sternburgh (Director) Justin is very excited to againvreturn to the playhouse. He has directed the summer shorts as well as played Watson in Sherlock Holmes Final Adventure. Again he is very excited to share the stage with his wife Sarah. Together the two have a beautiful baby girl, two wonderful middle aged cats (Kunu and Tonks) and Dotty, their young dog.
Paige Alkire Paige Alkire (ADSM) Paige has been a theatre enthusiast since early childhood and served as a leader in the ONU theatre department throughout her university years. After completing an artistic internship with Studio Tenn Theatre Company in Franklin, Tennessee, Paige returned to Michigan and began working full-time at the Frauenthal Center. Most recently, she served as Assistant Director for Muskegon Civic Theatre’s Miss Holmes.
Katy Atwell Ashley Zimmerman (Mom) This is Ashley’s first appearance at The Playhouse, as she’s just returned to the stage after an extended hiatus. She moved here from Las Vegas, Nevada five years ago with her three children, who do theatre as well. She’s honored to be part of this cast and looks forward to continuing to pursue her passion with theatre.
Sarah Sternburgh Sarah Sternburgh (Actor 2) Sarah is thrilled to be back at the Playhouse, after last appearing on stage as Charlotte in Moon Over Buffalo. She works at the Frauenthal Center as the Front of House Lead, and sends her love and gratitude to Justin, Eliza, and her families—both biological and theatrical.
Robin Beebee Robin Beebee (Sister) Robin has been involved with theatre for the last three decades in West Michigan and her hometown of Tampa. She is thrilled to bring this character to life for you this summer, and thanks her husband, son, cast, and crew for their support! Her favorite role to date was playing Puck, in A Midsummer’s Night Dream.
Riley Van Ess Riley Van Ess (Actor 1) Riley is glad to be back up at the playhouse for the second year in a row. He would like to thank his family and friends for their love and support.
Mike Hassett Mike Hassett (Don) Mike is excited to join the cast of Leaving Iowa, his first time performing on the Playhouse's renovated stage. His recent stage credits include Scratch (Witch) and Snoopy (You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown) for Central Park Players. Mike thanks his fiancée Mary-Kate, friends, and family for their support.
Tim Salach Tim Salach (Dad) Tim’s most recent role was Sidney Carlton in Inspecting Carol at the Muskegon Civic Theater. The year prior he performed multiple roles including a Catholic priest and a cowboy detective in a streaming production of The Laramie Project through the Arts Coalition and the Grand Rapids Pride Center. Other recent work includes Henry Morgenthau in The Accomplices and Gaspar Ben Israel in New Jerusalem, both with the Jewish Theater of Grand Rapids. He thanks Becky and everyone who made this performance possible.
