Beth Beaman Beth Beaman (Managing Director) Beth has been the Managing Director of the Playhouse since 2014. She loves what the theatre means to the community and is passionate about creating a safe, warm and welcoming environment for all. She is thankful for all of the playhouse supporters, especially her favorite Senior Intern and husband, Christopher.
Maggie Hill Maggie Hill (Production Assistant) Maggie began participating in theatre at The Playhouse during elementary school. This summer she joins the crew as a production assistant. She is happy to be a part of this season before heading to the University of Michigan in the fall to pursue her artistic endeavors.
Haley Tolan Haley Tolan (Production Assistant)
Al Connelly Al Connelly (Production Intern) This is Al Connelly’s first summer working at The Playhouse and they can’t wait to make valuable memories here. They hope you have a great time and enjoy the show!
Sopia Cole Sophia Cole (Production Intern) Sophia is going to be a sophomore at Reeths-Puffer High School in the fall and has been doing tech there for many years. Some past shows she’s worked include Descendants, Guys and Dolls, Mamma Mia!, Alice in Wonderland, Showcase, Suessical, The Nutcracker, and Midsummer Night's Dream. She is excited to work on future shows at The Playhouse as an intern for the summer of 2023.
Kali Gilbert Kali Gilbert (Production Manager) Kali has been a theater creative on- and off-stage for 23 years, known locally for productions including Peter and the Starcatcher (Mrs. Bumbrake / Teacher), Mark Twain’s The Diaries of Adam and Eve (Director / Eve), The Foreigner (Catherine Simms), and Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey). Outside the theater, Kali is a stay-at-home mom and treasurer for the Miss Ludington Area scholarship program. Be sure to connect with Kali in September at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts for the premiere of Like A Mother, an original musical revue exploring the joy, pain, and power of motherhood.
Claire Beaman Claire Beaman (Technical Director / Scenic Designer) Claire is so excited to be returning to the Playhouse for her 10th season overall, and 6th season as Scenic Designer and Technical Director. During the Playhouse off-season, she is the Theatre Manager for the Rocket Center at Reeths-Puffer High School, and is thrilled to have found theatre work so close to home. She thanks Bloom, Adora, Gizmo, and all the other Beamans for their endless love and support.
Amanda Collene Amanda Collene (Lighting Designer) Amanda has been designing lights along the lakeshore for over twenty years. Her latest shows have been Footloose at West Shore Community College and A Bad Year For Tomatoes at the historic Ramsdell Theatre. Amanda is super excited to be designing for her second season at The Playhouse at White Lake.
Tyler Quinn Tyler Quinn (Sound Designer) Tyler is thrilled to be returning to The Playhouse at White Lake for his sixth season in the role of sound designer. A 2020 graduate of Michigan Technological University with a BA in Sound Design, he has contributed sound design, and occasionally original music, for past productions such as Escanaba in Love, Moon Over Buffalo, Tea for Three, Vintage Hitchcock, and Fox on the Fairway, among many others. Outside of Whitehall, Tyler designed and live mixed sound for musicals and operettas at the Ohio Light Opera on repertory staples such as South Pacific and Into the Woods, and mixed The Devil's Rider in its very first American performance. His most recent theater credits include Inspecting Carol and Anne & Emmett for the Muskegon Civic Theater.
Amber Hellewell Amber Hellewell (Props) Amber is a longtime fan of The Playhouse and is grateful for the opportunity to revisit her theater production roots as the Propmaster this season. Last year she was part of the magnificent ensemble cast of The Outsider—her first production on stage. At heart she loves working the magic behind the scenes and has done scenic design for Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Secret Garden, The Crucible, Velveteen Rabbit and recently taught scenic arts at the White Lake Youth Theater Spring camp.
Robin Erdman Robin Erdman (Costume Designer, Leaving Iowa) This is Robin’s first attempt at costuming a Playhouse show, and she is thrilled. Costumes are a familiar territory as she worked in the costume shop in college and has crewed many shows for MCT.
Susan Eyler Susan Eyler (Costume Designer Honky Tonk Angels, The Book of Will, Beau Jest) Susan is the Costume Designer/Costumier for MCC as well as working PRN for Freedom Village in Holland, Michigan as Medical Technician. This past season she has been quite busy with plays & musicals at MCT such as Cinderella, at WMCHS: The Wizard of Oz, RPHS: Mamma Mia! and of course MCC (several shows) including RENT which she was able to check off her bucket list. Susan has costumed at The Playhouse for many years, this is her home away from home.
Sonnet Quinn Sonnet Quinn (Costume Designer, The Wind in the Willows) Sonnet finds joy in acting, directing, teaching, costuming, art, and nature. She initially fell in love with theatre at the Playhouse in 1996 through WLYT and is delighted to support their 50th Anniversary production!
Bill Abbott Bill Abbott (Hair Designer, Honky Tonk Angels, The Book of Will) Bill has worked with Muskegon Civic Theatre for several years doing hair and makeup, most recently Cinderella. He has also worked with Muskegon Community College over the years as well as The Playhouse at White Lake. Bill collaborated with The Arts Coalition in Grand Rapids on a filmed version of The Laramie Project.
