Kennedy's Kitchen: The Playhouse welcomes Irish musicians from Kennedy's Kitchen for this special, St Patrick's Day weekend celebration of live Irish music, storytelling and culture. Catch pub songs, sing-a-longs, original songs and recitations, stories and ripping dance tunes from the deep tradition to our newly composed: from pounding on the tables to a tear in your beer. Band leader, John Kennedy is not just a musician; he’s a storyteller who connects with the audience, making every performance an intimate gathering. The band utilizes the human voice, fiddle, whistles, the almighty tenor banjo, the guitar, bouzouki, bohdran, and bass, and every now and again, the kazoo. It’s been 25 years of laughter and tears in live entertainment.

Spring Musical Play Camp—Hercules the Musical The White Lake Youth Theatre (WLYT) welcomes the Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) back to The Playhouse at White Lake for a one-week Spring Musical Play Camp featuring the beloved story of King Arthur's Quest. This program is open to actors ages 5-18 and partial scholarships are available. This program is also WLACE eligible. Please use the Contact Us form on this website to ask Cindy Beth to ask about scholarships. Use the Buy Tickets button to the left to register. Musical Play Camp Summary Welcome to Ancient Greece, where the focus is on the big tournament. The Olympic Games are starting soon, and the Cyclops and Titans are both expecting to win big in the Games. But the tournament can’t start without Hercules. Will the legendary strongman of the ancient World spark the flame and start the festivities on time, or will his legendary tardiness get in the way of the Games? Join us for a tale the scholars will talk about for ages as mythical creatures and Olympians alike share in a friendly competition. Along the way, we may just learn that true strength lies not in our muscles but in our character. The Missoula Children's Theatre tour team arrives in our little town for seven days with their “little red truck” loaded full with everything we'll need for King Arthur's Quest, including the set, lights, costumes, props and make-up, really everything it takes to put on a play. The team will hold an open audition and cast up to 60 local students to perform in this production at the end of the week. The show is rehearsed throughout the week after-school and a public performance will be presented at the end of the week to show off the unbelievable results of this one-week long unique, educational theatre experience. MCT’s mission is the development of life skills in children through participation in the performing arts, which marries nicely with our similar White Lake Youth Theatre mission: to cultivate a compassionate community of youth artists through education and access to the arts. Register today by clicking on the "Buy Tickets" button to the left to secure your student's space as all kids in the workshop will perform.

Michigan Mandolin Orchestra The Michigan Mandolin Orchestra, based in Grand Rapids, is lead by Michigan’s mandoliner Brian Oberlin and was founded in 2019. The 14 member, community orchestra boasts 1st and 2nd mandolins, mandola and octave mandolins, mandocellos, guitars, and contrabass. They will play an incredible line-up of music spanning the repertoire of concert music eras, Italian and English folk, and rock music. Yes, ROCK music. As all good mandolin orchestras go, a hefty helping of Italian light classical and folk music is served with Nostalgia di Mandolini, Funiculi Funicula, Sorriso di Bambola, and Suite Marinaresca. A set of O’Carolan tunes are played in medley and the Orchestra will rock out with Led Zepplin’s Kashmir. The contemporary music of brilliant composers Igor Stravinsky and Dmitri Shostakovich will be heard with Concerto in D for Strings and the Allegretto Polka from the ballet, The Golden Age, respectively. Small ensembles and solo pieces are common at an MMO concert so expect to hear these chamber jewels. A highlight for the MMO and their audience will be the appearance of guest conductor and Michigan luminary, David Bass.
